We are passionate about providing you quality, heart-pumping exercise classes for those of you just starting your fitness journey, to novice and expert athletes. We are here for Healthy Living for ALL.

Our Group Exercise classes are an added benefit to our YMCA members. Aquatic Exercise classes are also free to attend for our members and available Monday through Friday.

Active Older Adults

This class is specifically designed for older adults who would like to increase strength, range of motion, agility, balance, and coordination as well as improve overall health.

Body Blitz

30 Minutes of Total Body Strength Training, using different modalities of training such as: dumbbells, barbells, exercise bands, and stability balls! Come join us for a total body session!

Breakfast club Bootcamp

Rise and shine, it’s workout time! Get your day started with a serving of plyometrics, cardio, and full body strength training exercises served with a side of core.

BRAZILIAN DANCE FITNESS

Brazil is a country that is rich in music and dance– now you have the opportunity to experience a wider variety of dances encompassing the entirety of Brazil.

Cardio Kickboxing

Jab, Cross, and Kick! Fun, fast paced kickboxing class for everyone. All you need is your athletic shoes and a towel to wipe off the sweat!

Cardio+Sculpt

Want to get some cardio in and have fun doing it? This class may be the perfect fit for you. Cardio sculpt is an hour long class where we use an assortment of equipment to not only help us look good and feel good but also aid us in moving better.

Circuit Saturday

Circuit Saturday will involve a combination of workouts to include strength, cardio and core conditioning. Programming is designed and structured for optimal results in strength and endurance.

Enhance Fitness

This group exercise program helps older adults at all levels of fitness to become more active, energized, and able to maintain their independence. Each one hour class focuses on cardiovascular exercise, strength training, balance, and flexibility.

GUTS AND GLUTES

Exercises will target your entire core and lower body. Come tone your hips, thighs, glutes, and get abdominally toned! Exercises may focus on other muscle groups as well for variety.

HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT)

Interval training has been proven to be an effective method to improve cardiovascular conditioning and burn fat. Periods of intense aerobic activity are interspersed with brief rest periods. In all HIIT classes Cardio, strength and ab intervals will be thrown in and mixed up each week to keep your body on its toes.

Just Peachy

Need help feelin’ “Just Peachy”? Join us for all things lower-body centered. A fun, fit, class full of options for every fitness level!

LITTLE FRY FRIDAY

Bring your kids to move and groove to some fun music while enjoying a series of basic workouts that strengthen and stretch you as you finish up your week!

Mastering Mobility

Slowly but surely as we age we typically lose more and more of our range of motion. If you are looking to stop the loss and work to regain that mobility this is the class for you. Long stretch holds, joint strengthening, balance training are just a few of the tactics that are utilized in class.

On the Ball

We incorporate a stability ball or bosu ball and dumbbells into our workout to help with balance and core strength. Low impact.

piyo

A low impact, yet challenging class that incorporates yoga fundamentals to increase flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. We will also focus on core strength and overall toning with Pilates movement.

PILATES REMIX

Pilates remix is an energetic combination of the strengthening moves of Pilates with the flexibility moves of Yoga. The faster pace will be sure to get your heart beating! Very low impact, full body workout.

Spin

This hour-long ride provides a great cardio workout designed to challenge you by incorporating hills, climbs, sprints, and standing climbs. An energetic and heart healthy workout. All fitness levels welcome. Make sure to reserve your spot! Limited spots available

Spin & Strength

Spin and Strength is 30 minutes of Spinning, and 30 minutes of mostly upper body strength. Strength involves different modalities of training including dumbbells, resistance bands, and body weight exercises.

Spin+TRX

Start this fun combination class with 30 minutes of Spinning! Think of intervals, hills, sprints, and climbs! It’s always your ride, go at your own pace and get your heart pumping! Then we will finish with TRX Suspension Training.

STEP + SCULPT

Do you like to move to the music and get some "steps" in while doing it? Step and Sculpt may be the perfect class for you. This 30-minute class offers a fun mix of step aerobics and muscular strength with an enthusiastic environment for all fitness levels.

TAI CHI FOR HEALTH

Tai Chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

TOTAL BODY BLAST

Looking for a weight training class to tone up your figure? This class will focus on shaping and sculpting your body with the most current fitness equipment!

TRX BOOTCAMP

TRX, also known as suspension training, is designed to increase overall strength while engaging the core muscles throughout the entire workout.

TRX- SUSPENSION TRAINING

TRX is a form of suspension training that uses your body weight to develop and increase your strength, core stability, and balance simultaneously. This interval based class will keep the heart rate elevated while transitions between cardio and strength moves.

Yoga

Inspired by Ashtanga and Vinyasa practices, this class incorporates some rhythmic movement along with breath, while focusing on an awareness of the body’s sensations and use of proper bodily alignment.

YOGA FUNDAMENTALS

Let’s “Re” connect to our best selves. Yoga fundamentals is a heart centered practice where we will uncover the strength found in slowing down. Here we will learn the practical yoga techniques for self care.

Zumba

Experience an absolute blast of exhilarating caloric burning, muscle pumping, energizing dance movements meant to engage the entire body. No dance experience required!

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
