Successfully complete the prerequisite skill assessment scenario.

This course is a blended learning format that combines an online session with in-person session conducted by a Red Cross-certified Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT). By the end of this course, Lifeguard candidates will learn, demonstrate, and receive a certificate in the skills of Lifeguard Instructor valid for 2 years. Please understand that registration does not guarantee one’s completion of the course and a certification.

This course will be held at Garber High School’s Pool Facility (in Essexville). Participants must be able to transport themselves and attend the course at this facility. Class must have 6 participants to run. The Y holds no fault should this course be cancelled due to not reaching this participant count.

Please contact the Lifeguard Instructor Trainer via email should you have other questions or concerns at akuehne@ymcabaycity.org.
