Interval training has been proven to be an effective method to improve cardiovascular conditioning and burn fat. Periods of intense aerobic activity are interspersed with brief rest periods.
In all HIIT classes Cardio, strength and ab intervals will be thrown in and mixed up each week to keep your body on its toes. Each muscle group is worked to fatigue using a circuit format that incorporates cardiovascular segments to keep the heart rate elevated.
Weight can be adjusted for various fitness levels and modifications will be shown for cardiovascular segments.

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
