FOOD PROGRAM

The Dow Bay Area Family YMCA’s Free Youth Food Program serves healthy meals to any youth in Bay County ages 18 and under. Our program strives to address food insecurity in Bay County by collaborating with organizations such as Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Hidden Harvest, Schabel Dairy, Gordon’s Food Service and Bosco Food Service. The Free Youth Food Program is a partnership with USDA and the Michigan Department of Education.

Financial AsSistance Programs

Individuals will not be turned away from participating in programs, activities, and/or membership due to their inability to pay. The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
